Cleon Umphrey has been a Human Resources professional for over 32 years. He is the retired Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority in North Carolina. He was responsible for the airport’s human resource functions including recruitment, compliance, payroll, benefits, wellness program, and talent management. Additionally, he managed the Minority, Women, (MWBE), Small, and Disadvantaged Business programs during his tenure with the Airport Authority. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology, with a minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and holds the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the HR Certification Institute and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society for Human Resource Management.
